ADEN, July. 18 (YPA) – Dozens of residents of Aden province, southern Yemen, complained on Monday about a price hike of basic materials and meat in the coastal province’s markets.
This coincided with an upward increase in fish prices in all kinds, as the price of one kilo of Zaynub fish reached 25 thousand riyals, and a kilo of Thamd fish in Aden amounted 12 thousand riyals, and one piece of small-sized sea fish reached 1500 riyals.
A kilo of lamb price reached 15,000 riyals, and 12,000 riyals of beef.
The residents confirmed that the price of yogurt reached 800 riyals, while an egg of 250 riyals.
The residents of the province called on the ” government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition” to reveal the reasons for the high rise in the prices of basic materials, especially fish, despite the province overlooking large marine areas in the Gulf and the ocean and is a source of fish exports to various countries of the world.
