SHABWAH, Jul. 13 (YPA) – Local sources in Shabwah province, eastern Yemen, said that the security guards at Qena resort fired at residents who went to the resort for a picnic during Eid holidays.
The sources said that the resort’s guards refused to allow residents to enter the resort on the pretext that the resort has been reserved for Marib’s officials, and when citizens complained about the racist treatment, the guards fired heavily into the air, forcing the residents to leave the scene.
