ADEN, Jul. 08 (YPA) – Yemeni fishermen in the Mansoura district of Yemen’s southern port city of Aden on Wednesday staged a vigil, in a protest against backfilling of water near the fishing port.
They said the backfilling of water in the sea would have negative effects on freedom of movement at the fishermen’s marina.
During the vigil, the fishermen said that they had filed several complaints to the relevant and judicial authorities in Aden, but that they had not taken any measures to stop the illegal backfilling work.
It is worth mentioning that the armed factions in Aden province have more influence than the Saudi-led coalition and Maeen Abdul-Malik government’s authorities.
Riyadh and Abu Dhabi have destroyed all public institutions, in favor of strengthening the leaders and their armed factions that have been spawned in the occupied territories.
