Sources: Establishing a new UAE-Israeli military base in Socotra

SOCOTRA, Jul. 04 (YPA) – A new batch of UAE military reinforcements  arrived in the Yemeni Socotra archipelago province, Southern  media sources reported on Sunday.

According to the sources, an Emirati air force plane landed at Hadibo Airport, carrying with Emirati officers accompanied by Israeli soldiers, on the second flight of its kind in days.

The sources added that the majority of the officers arriving were engineers of military construction and their visit was part of arrangements for the development of an Emirati-Israeli base in the city of Hadibo.

Last Thursday, local sources confirmed the arrival of an Emirati plane at the same airport, carrying Emirati officers and foreign military personnel, less than a week after Israeli forces installed radars and intelligence services on the island, as part of a plan to enforce  its control of maritime routes in the Island.
