17 Palestinians injured by Israeli occupation gunfire in Nablus

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Jun. 30 (YPA) – At least 17 Palestinians were injured by Israeli occupation gunfire during confrontations that erupted as dozens of extremist Zionist settlers raided the area of Joseph’s Tomb, to the east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, Wafa News Agency reported, citing a Red Crescent official.

Ahmad Jibreel, director of the ambulance service with the Red Crescent in Nablus, said that a youth was shot with a live bullet in the thigh and taken to the hospital, while 16 others were injured with rubber bullets, four of which were taken to the hospital, as confrontations broke out after Israeli setters broke into the aforementioned area.

He added that 40 Palestinians suffered from suffocation due to inhaling tear gas bombs fired at them by the soldiers, noting that four children and an infant were taken to the hospital, while two families had to leave their houses due to the gas thrown at them.

Jibreel said that five others suffered from burns, and two more fell during the confrontations, adding that all were treated in the scene.
