UN team briefs on damages of coalition raids in Hodeida port

HODEIDA, 29 (YPA) – Sanaa government’s redeployment team, along with the United Nations team in support of the Sweden agreement, paid a field visit to brief on damages of the port of Hodeida, as a result of the Saudi-led coalition’s airstrikes.

During the visit, the UN team was briefed on the places that were bombed by air and artillery strikes by the coalition forces.

Meanwhile, a member of the Sanaa team for Redeployment, Colonel Fadhl Ali Al-Matari, stressed the need for the United Nations to carry out its humanitarian responsibilities lift the continued siege on the Yemeni people.

Colonel Al-Matari indicated that the coalition’s detention of commercial and oil ships has caused food spoilage and a rise in the prices of oil derivatives, expressing dissatisfaction with the UN policy not to obligate the coalition and its tools to implement the Sweden agreement and the humanitarian truce.

For her part, head of the UN team said: “We are trying to pressure the coalition to reduce and prevent detention of ships and arrests.”
