4 killed, 60 injured after bullfighting stand collapses in Colombia

WORLD, Jun. 27 (YPA) – At least four were killed and 60 others injured after a stand collapsed during a bullfight in central Colombia.

The incident occurred during one of the country’s traditional bullfighting performances.

According to media reports quoting local officials, the city’s hospital and ambulance services were unable to cope with the number of injured, and the city’s medical authorities needed support from ambulances and nearby hospitals, as many people remained unattended.

As a result of the collapse of the surrounding stand walls, an angry bull escaped from the square, causing panic on the streets of the city.
