Lack of basic services sparks angry protests in Aden

ADEN, June. 22 (YPA) – Dozens of protesters took the Aden city streets to condemn the rise in fuel prices, the collapse of the currency, and the lack of basic services, including electricity and water.

Local sources reported that the protesters cut off the bridge linking the areas of Khor Maksar and Mansoura.

Other sources confirmed that the price of a 20-liter gallon of gasoline reached 25,000 riyals, indicating that the Aden Oil Company sells adulterated gasoline to citizens, which causes their cars to suddenly break down.

Aden is witnessing angry protests for the fourth consecutive day, denouncing the deterioration of living conditions and the collapse of basic services, including electricity and water.
