Syrian army reinforces its positions in exchange for Turkish reinforcements in Aleppo countryside

ALEPPO, Jun. 15 (YPA) –  The Syrian army has reinforced its positions and fortifications in exchange for Turkish forces bringing military reinforcements to the city of Azaz in the northern Aleppo countryside, a Syrian field source told Sputnik.

“Turkish forces have introduced tankers loaded with tanks and a number of troop carriers, as well as pick-up cars with heavy machine guns,” according to the source.

“Turkish forces estimated at more than 2,500,” he said, adding that “these reinforcements are not the first that Turkey has brought to Azaz.”

“The front, which is being reinforced by Turkish forces, extends several areas, the source said, stressing that “the Syrian army is also enforcing its positions, fighters and fortifications in the area in the event of any attack we will counter.”
