Armed gang kills merchant in Abyan after looting his money

ABYAN, Jun. 14 (YPA) – A merchant was killed and his money was by looted by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday in Lauder city in Abyan province, southern Yemen.

Local sources said that a citizen in his forties, Ali Makhfiq, who works as a livestock dealer, was interrupted and killed and money in his possession was looted by unknown persons.

The incident took place between the villages of Al-Ain and Arakbi, and it is believed that the main cause was an armed robbery with the aim of theft.

A few months ago, Abyan witnessed the crime of running over a livestock dealer, “Jaloud Al-Joufi”.

Al-Joufi died on Wednesday, after someone stole his car, and when he tried to intercept him, he ran over him with his car. He was taken for treatment in Aden, but he died.
