“STC” succeeds in freezing Al-Alimi council’s decisions in Aden
ADEN, June.09 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias succeeded in freezing previous decisions made by Riyadh-formed Presidential Council led by Rashad Al-Alimi, in the city of Aden, south of Yemen.
Local sources affirmed that al-Alimi’s Council issued new instructions to freeze previous decisions issued in mid-May against the STC.
The sources said that the suspended decisions came based on the pressure of the STC, given that they were taken unilaterally and without consultation with the rest of the parties.
The suspended decisions include suspending the appointment of the journalist, Adnan Al-Sanawi, as press secretary to al-Alimi’s Council, and director of the media department in the council, in addition to stopping the appointment of Mohammed Al-Maqbeli as head of the youth department in the Council, and the appointment of Ahmed Mohsen Askar as his deputy.
The city of Aden is witnessing a wave of unrest that afflicts the Riyadh council, due to the aggravation of differences between the parties to the in the council.
