SANAA, June.08 (YPA) – A military delegation, accompanied by the UN envoy, Hans Grundberg, arrived in the capital Sanaa, on Wednesday, coming from Amman, after completing talks with the Saudi-led coalition party on roads and violations.
Head of the delegation, Major General Yahya Al-Razami, affirmed in a news statement that the demands of the other side were to open one road in Taiz, and we took the initiative to open three roads for achieving peace.
Major General Al-Razami announced Sanaa’s readiness to open the main roads of Al-Shareja Karsh Al-Rahda, Al-Zaylai Al-Suraimi, Abara, and 60th Street- Al-Dafa al-Jawai road.
“We are waiting for this initiative from the other side to be serious to implement, and we also are ready for what is greater in response to the leadership’s directives,” he added.
Al-Razami noted that “there are proposals suggested by the United Nations will discuss with the leadership in Sanaa.”
For his part, Deputy Foreign Minister in Sanaa, Hussein Al-Ezzi, said: “Our military committee presented a realistic and fair proposal, and the other party is still trading in Taiz.”
Al-Ezzi stressed that the other side should prove its seriousness and fulfill its obligations to move forward in the peace process.
“There are still large and wide obstacles regarding the issue of flights and the flow of ships, and these are very negative indicators,” he noted.
