TAIZ, May 31 (YPA) – Hundreds of students from Islah Party-held Taiz University staged on Tuesday an angry protest rally to denounce the increase in exorbitant tuition fees.
In the rally, the students expressed their categorical rejection of the financial regulations, which the Student Union’s statement described as “corrupt levies,” by the university administration.
The students’ statement considered that the exorbitant financial “levies” prevented the students from completing their university studies.
The statement demanded the cancellation of university fees, which exacerbated the difficult living situation of students, denouncing the raising of fees at this time when the country witnessing a very deteriorating living situation.
