Al-Mashat: If Jordan talks fail, we will announce unilateral initiative to open roads

SANAA, May 30 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Monday revealed an initiative that would be announced unilaterally to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni people if the Jordan talks on reopening roads failed.

In his speech at the graduation ceremony of the sixth batch of Police College and the second batch of women’s police, Al-Mashat affirmed that the agendas of the Saudi-led coalition and its local tools and their contradictions prolong the suffering of Yemeni people.

He noted that the coalition forces are working hard to exploit the suffering of the citizens in Taiz province, and that those forces have a varying agenda to employ the suffering and difficult conditions in Taiz and the other provinces.

President Al-Mashat affirmed that Sanaa is ready to continue working to ease the impact of the siege imposed on Yemen by various means, adding “We accepted the armistice only to achieve this purpose.”

He referred that the revenues of the port of Hodeida were allocated in favor of the salary on the basis that the coalition forces would cover the deficit from the oil and gas revenues, calling on the coalition forces and their followers to fulfill their obligations in this regard for covering the salaries of state employees.
