President Al-Mashat condemns coalition’s violations of armistice

SANAA, May 28 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Saturday condemned the practices of the Saudi-led countries by sending spy planes to the airspace of the capital, Sanaa, and a number of provinces.

Al-Mashat considered this a blatant violation of the UN-declared armistice and “an act of aggression” that completely contradicts their claims of keenness on peace.

This came during his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security Affairs Lieutenant-General Jalal Al-Rowishan, Minister of Defense Major General Mohammed Nasser Al-Atifi, and Chief of the General Staff Major General Mohammed Abdulkarim Al-Ghamari.

President Al-Mashat stressed the necessity of the coalition countries’ commitment to the provisions of the armistice and the implementation of all its provisions, in order to reach more humanitarian and economic remedies to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.

He pointed out that in the event that the coalition countries did not fulfill their commitment to the armistice, the armed and security forces are ready to carry out their duty.

At the meeting, President Al-Mashat urged caring for the wounded, the families of the martyrs and the captives.
