SANAA, May 20 (YPA) – The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced an unprecedented violation of Greek airspace by Turkish fighters in the area of Alexandroupolis in the north of the country.
“ We condemn in the strongest terms the unprecedented violation of national sovereignty by two Turkish fighters, which illegally entered our national airspace and approached Alexandroupolis at a distance of only 2.5 nautical miles,” the ministry said in a statement.
The Turkish Ambassador in Athens was strongly protested, according to the statement.
