Israeli occupation forces launch large-scale arrest campaign across West Bank

WEST BANK, Aug. 27 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces carried out a large-scale arrest campaign across multiple areas of the occupied West Bank early Wednesday, detaining dozens of Palestinians, including former prisoners, university students, minors, and the mother of a wanted man.

In Tulkarm, the occupation forces arrested the mother of a wanted Palestinian from the Shweika suburb in the northern part of the city in an apparent attempt to pressure him to surrender. Another young man was also detained in the nearby town of Attil.

In Nablus, troops raided the village of Qusin, west of the city, and arrested a young man whose identity has not yet been confirmed.

In Salfit, Israeli forces stormed the town of Kafr ad-Dik and arrested a student at Birzeit University.

Bethlehem saw one of the largest waves of arrests. The occupation Forces raided the town of Tuqu’ and detained four young men from the same family.

Additional arrests were reported across the governorate, including one person from the eastern part of the city, one from Dheisheh refugee camp, another from Aida refugee camp in the north, and a former prisoner from Dheisheh.

In Hebron, four Palestinians were arrested in the town of Yatta, located south of the city.

In Qalqilya, the occupation troops entered the city and arrested a Palestinian youth.

Finally, in Jenin, the Zionist forces stormed the eastern neighborhood of the city and arrested a citizen after raiding his home.
