2 civilians killed in armed clashes in Shabwa

SHABWA, May 19 (YPA) – At least two civilians were killed and another was injured on Thursday in clashes Ataq city, the capital of Shabwa province, which is controlled by the UAE-backed militia.

The clashes erupted between militia of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) and gunmen believed to be loyal to Tariq Afash, military commander backed by the UAE, local sources reported.

The sources did not mention the reasons behind the clashes.
