Malaysia urges US to be honest in dealing with international issues

SANAA, May 14 (YPA) Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has urged the United States to be “honest” in dealing with acute international problems and comparing the crises in Ukraine and Palestine.

“If the United States takes quick steps with regard to the Ukrainian crisis, it must do the same with regard to the situation in Palestine,” Yaakob told reporters after the End of the Summit of the United States and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in Washington.

emphasized that Washington must “behave honestly, it must stop the atrocities of Israel.”

Yaakob also called on Washington to “use influence to settle the Russian-Ukrainian crisis,” noting that “Southeast Asian countries are also feeling the consequences of this conflict, particularly rising food prices.”
