Transport Minister praises professional achievements made in civil aviation field
SANAA, May 10 (YPA) – The Minister of Transport, Abdulwahab Al-Durra, on Tuesday stressed the need to develop and update the Civil Aviation and Meteorological Authority of Yemen (CAMA)’s work programs, especially the international accompaniment in the field of civil aviation.
The Minister of Transport, in the meeting held today with the leaders of the authority, praised the professional achievements made by the authority and its various sectors during the past period, and its well-deserved obtaining of the international quality certificate ISO 9001:2015 by implementing the quality management system.
Al-Durra considered Yemen’s obtaining the ISO certificate a great achievement in the field of civil aviation despite the circumstances of the aggression and the siege.
He confirmed the ministry’s readiness to provide support and facilitate solving problems and overcoming the challenges facing the authority to enable it to provide air navigation services in the interest of the country and the citizen.
At the meeting, Al-Durra listened from the Undersecretary of the authority, Raed Jabal, to an explanation of the nature of the work of the authority and its various sectors, and the services it provides in the field of civil aviation.
The meeting discussed the mechanism for developing the work of the authority and its sectors, the problems and challenges facing the authority’s work, and the aggression coalition’s systematic destruction of all airport infrastructure, devices and equipment of importance in the field of civil aviation and meteorology.
