Sanaa records 2,853 violations of UN armistice by coalition during 31 days

SANAA, May 04 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition forces continued to violate the humanitarian and military truce in Yemen under the auspices of the United Nations, with committing 2,853 violations during the past 30 days.

Sanaa forces announced that they had monitored 55 violations carried out by the coalition and its loyal factions, during the second day of Eid al-Fitr, of the two-month UN truce declared in Yemen.

A military source said that the violations during the past 24 hours amounted to 55 violations, and included 10 violations by sorties of armed and spying reconnaissance aircraft over the airspace of the provinces of Hajjah, Jawf and Dhalea.

Artillery bombardment targeted the positions of the Sanaa forces in 11 violations were recorded in the provinces of Marib, Jawf, Hajjah and Dhalea, according to the source.

The coalition forces targeted, with artillery, the positions of the forces of Sanaa in Haradh, Bani Hassan and Al-Mazraq areas in Hajjah province, and the positions of the Sanaa forces in “Hajar Battar” area northwest of Dhalea province.

The source confirmed that artillery shelling targeted the positions of the Sanaa forces in the desert of Al-Ajashir, Al-Maraziq, Al-Utfin and Al-Rayyan Al-Rabaa in Jawf province.

The source also added that 34 violations by shooting at citizens’ homes and the Sanaa forces’ sites were recorded in the provinces of Marib, Jawf, Hajjah and Dhalea.
