ADEN, April 20 (YPA) – The Southern Movement Council of Liberal Forces (Hirak) affirmed on Wednesday that the fate and future of the southern issue would not be resolved and decided from within the country, away from external interference.
In a statement, the “Hirak Council” announced that it supported the call launched by the leader, Hassan Baoum, to hold a general southern conference for all political forces and components.
Holding the conference would protect the political rights of the people of the southern province and block any internal or regional attempts to confiscate the popular will, according to the statement.
The council affirmed that it did not neglect the southern issue and would continue the struggle under the principles and values for which the people of the southern provinces.
This comes in response to the joining of the head of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council” to the so-called Riyadh-formed Presidential Council, which disavowed the southern issue.
