Haniyeh: We will continue to defend Al-Aqsa in an open battle with the Zionist enemy

GAZA, April 17 (YPA) – The head of Hamas’ political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, said on  Sunday that al-Quds ( Jerusalem)  is the center of the conflict and the Palestinian people will continue to defend it in an open battle with the occupiers, and will resolve it for our benefit no matter how long it takes.

“We have assured all parties that have reached out to us that Al-Aqsa is our mosque. It is only ours.  There is absolutely no right of Jews to it, and our people have the right to reach it, pray and stay in it. We will not be subject to all measures of Zionist repression and terrorism,” Haniyeh said in a press release.

“Our people are defending themselves and their land and they have the natural right to continue to resist it, and Jerusalem is the focus of the conflict, and we will continue to defend it in an open battle with the occupiers, and we will resolve it for our benefit no matter how long it takes,” he said.

This morning, hundreds of enemy police officers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque to suppress the worshippers and force them to leave the site, in preparation for the incursion of 728 Zionist settlers, which resulted in the injury of several Palestinians.
