Relative of Hadhrami Uprising’s leader killed in Hadhramaut

HADHRAMAUT, April Gunmen assassinated a young man associated with a tribal leader loyal to the UAE-backed  Southern Transitional Council  (STC) in  Hadhramaut  province,  eastern Yemen.

This was reported by Yemen News Portal, based on the testimonies of local sources.

According to the Local sources,  gunmen in a car set an  ambush and fired  at the young man named Khaled Karroum in the Al-Kharf area in the Hadhramaut Valley, before they looted his car.

The victim was a relative of the leader of the Hadhrami uprising , Sheikh Hassan al-Jabri, the sources added.

The sources did not rule out that the assassination was in retaliation for taking control over the oil fields by the tribes taking part in the so-called Hadhrami upraising.
