Canadian PM declined to expel Russian diplomats

SANAA, April 07 (YPA) – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau refused to join the list of the western countries expelling the Russian diplomats, stressing that the expulsion of Russian diplomats will not benefit his country.

“I am just not sure the symbolic gesture of excluding Russian diplomats from what they are doing in Canada is worth the cost of losing our diplomats in Moscow,” Justin Trudeau said.

The Canadian prime minister noted that the Russian diplomats in the country are not spreading misinformation.

Earlier, the Government of Canada decided to impose sanctions on eight other Russian businessmen and one of the Russian military officials, due to the military operation in Ukraine.
