Pro-UAE security commander survives assassination in Aden

ADEN, March 29 (YPA) – A commander in the so-called “security belt” of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) on Tuesday survived an assassination attempt in Aden city, southern Yemen.

Media sources reported that the commander of the “Security Belt” in Al-Mansoura district, Ismail Ahmed Al-Subaihi, was subjected to shooting by unidentified gunmen as he was leaving his house.

The sources added that Al-Subaihi miraculously survived the assassination, while the gunmen fled to an unknown destination.

This comes a few hours after the assassination of the commander of the security belt in Al-Sheikh Othman district, Karam al-Mashreqi.
