Kais Saied: Security forces and national institutions will repel those who trying to lead Tunisia to internal fighting

SANAA, March 29 (YPA) – Tunisian President Kais Saied affirmed that his country enjoys external and internal sovereignty, noting that the security forces and national institutions will repel those who try to lead Tunisia to “internal fighting.”

“The state was falling apart and demands to dissolve Parliament were everywhere, so exceptional measures were taken on July 25,” Saied said during the National Security Council meeting.

He added, “Tunisia has the sovereignty of the state abroad and the sovereignty of the people at home, and whoever wants to tamper with it or reach internal fighting, there are forces and institutions that will deter him from his goals.”

Saied stressed the unity of the state, stressing that “compromising this unity is harming the security of the country and its people.”
