SANAA, March 21 (YPA) – At least three Algerian soldiers were killed on Sunday in a clash with a terrorist group on the country’s southern border, the Algerian Defence Ministry said Sunday.
“Following a clash with a terrorist group on the border strip of Timiaouine, as part of the fight against terrorism and border protection in the south of the country, second lieutenant Ikhlef Redha, and the contractual corporals Tareb Ilyes and Ali Abdelkader Houari, were martyred ,” the ministry said in a statement.
The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune offered his condolences to the People’s National Army (ANP) and to the families of the three soldiers martyred on the border strip in the region of Timiaouine (Bordj Badji Mokhtar) while defending their country.
