Washington talks about possibility of lifting sanctions on Moscow, but on condition!

SANAA, March 19 (YPA) – The US Department of  State said Friday that Washington hopes to lift several sanctions against Russia on condition that Ukraine “regains its sovereignty.”

A senior State Department official told reporters that US sanctions against Russia over Ukraine “are not intended to be permanent.”

“When we see the end of the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the restoration of its territorial integrity, we hope to be able to see the end of the use of these punitive tools,” the official said.

He stressed that the restrictions imposed on Moscow “are not intended to be permanent”.

Russia’s military operation in Ukraine has entered its 23rd day, while the West is imposing unprecedented sanctions on Moscow.
