Intelligence website: UAE brought Israeli cybersecurity companies to Bahrain

PARIS, March 17 (YPA) – “Intelligence Online” website said on Thursday that the rapprochement between the UAE and Bahrain has contributed to Israel pulling the rug out of British cybersecurity experts from Bahrain.

The website stated that “the close friendship between the UAE Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Bahraini Prince Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, led to bringing a number of leading Israeli electronic companies to Manama, as Britain’s top internet and cyber security advisers are leaving.

It pointed out that the British expert in cyber security “Juliet Wilcox”, who was appointed in charge of the cyber diplomatic service in the United Kingdom just a few weeks ago and had a prominent position in Bahrain, where the British internet industry used to be ubiquitous, but it is now little by little losing ground to the Israeli occupation.

According to the website, Willcox, a former political advisor at the British Embassy in Beijing, supervises the cyber projects of the Gulf Strategic Fund. This fund, according to the website, aims to provide financial assistance to the cyber efforts of the UK’s allies in the Gulf, including Bahrain.

Britain also established a cybersecurity acceleration center in Kuwait, but currently it has very little presence in Bahrain in terms of this specialty.
