One of Al-Qaeda leaders killed south of Marib

MARIB, March 10 (YPA) – Al-Qaeda organization in the Arabian Peninsula on Thursday mourned one of its most prominent military leaders, who was killed by Sanaa forces fire in Marib province.

A statement issued by Al-Qaeda’s Jihad Base said that the leader, Shaker Mansour Ahmed Sharhan, who had a long march of fighting in the ranks of the terrorist organization, was killed south of Marib city in the battles taking place between Sanaa forces and the terrorist groups funded by the Saudi-led coalition.

Al-Qaeda’s statement clarified that Sharhan fought to death in the ranks of the coalition forces with the terrorist organization’s elements, refusing to surrender to Sanaa forces on the outskirts of Abida valley.
