MSF’s interventions in Hodeida discussed

HODEIDA, March 08 (YPA) – Director of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and International Cooperation in Hodeida province, Jaber Al-Razhi, on Tuesday met with Head of the Doctors Without Borders (MSF) mission in Yemen, Bernadette Schubert.

In the meeting, they discussed the organization’s efforts to support the health sector in the province.

Al-Razhi stressed the Council’s keenness to provide facilities and overcome difficulties for the success of the organization’s work and activities in all districts of the province to alleviate the suffering of the population as a result of the war and siege.

He pointed to the need for the health sector in the province to support and continue the organization’s interventions, urging urgent intervention in the provision of medicines, devices, and health supplies.

For her part, the MSF mission director in Yemen indicated that the organization would work to expand its interventions in medical facilities in the province according to the plan of need. She appreciated the council’s cooperation in facilitating the implementation of the mission activities.
