UN: We will make contacts with the Russian defense today on humanitarian corridors in Ukraine

SANAA, March 08 (YPA) – Martin Griffiths, undersecretary-general for humanitarian affairs said that UN staff will discuss on Tuesday with representatives of the Russian Defense Ministry the mechanisms for opening humanitarian corridors in Ukraine.

“We need to communicate with Russian military representatives in Ukraine, like the contacts we have with Ukrainian representatives,” the official said.

“We need people in the place. Because things always happen during the ceasefire system. There are always military movements.”
