Maduro meets with US Delegation in Caracas

SANAA, March 08 (YPA) – Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced Tuesday that he had held a meeting last Saturday with a US delegation in Caracas and said he hoped to move forward with the peace process.

“Last Saturday, a delegation from the United States arrived in Venezuela and I received him at the presidential palace,” Maduro said.

We had a very respectful, friendly and diplomatic meeting, he added.

Reuters, citing informed sources saying that Venezuelan and US officials had discussed the possibility of easing oil sanctions on Venezuela, but made little progress toward reaching an agreement in the first high-level bilateral talks between the two sides in years.
