Russian defenses disrupt Ukrainian Vinnytsia Airport

SANAA, Mar. 06 (YPA) – The Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on Sunday the disruption of the airspace of the Vinnytsia Airport in Ukraine, using “high-precision” weapons.

“On March 6, high-precision long-range weapons were used to impede the airport, which is used by the Ukrainian Air Force,” Russian defense ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said.

Konashenkov added that the Russian Defense Ministry knew that a number of Ukrainian warplanes went to Romania and other countries neighboring Ukraine, warning that “allowing Ukrainian warplanes to use the airports of other countries may be considered a participation of those countries in the armed conflict.”

The Ukrainian president had said that the Russian forces bombed the airport, which was denied by Russian media sources, stressing that they are false allegations.
