Putin affirms Moscow’s readiness for dialogue with Ukraine

SANAA, Mar. 06 (YPA) – Russia’s President, Vladimir Putin, affirmed Moscow’s readiness for dialogue with Ukraine for resolving the conflict.

The Kremlin announced on Sunday, that the move came during a phone call made between President Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to discuss the Russian military operation in Ukraine.

During the phone call, Putin briefed Erdoğan on the details of the Russian military operation, indicating the possibility of stopping it on the condition that Kyiv agrees to Moscow’s demands.

For his part, Erdoğan called for an immediate cease-fire between Russia and Ukraine and to allow space for diplomatic solutions in order to sign a peace agreement between the two sides.

Erdoğan affirmed, “Turkey’s readiness to contribute to a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian crisis,” stressing that “the ceasefire will provide an opportunity to search for political solutions to the crisis.”

Russian President Putin announced that the goal of the special military operation in Ukraine is to protect people who have been subjected to persecution and genocide by the Kyiv regime, for eight years.
