FM appreciates Netherlands’ stances calling for ending aggressive war on Yemen

SANAA, March 02 (YPA) – Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf on Wednesday expressed the National Salvation Government’s appreciation for the positions of the Kingdom of the Netherlands calling for an end to the aggression and siege on Yemen.

During his meeting today in Sanaa with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Yemen, Peter Derrek Hof, the Foreign Minister discussed the latest developments in the national arena and the existing areas of cooperation between the two countries and ways to enhance and develop them.

Sharaf called on the Kingdom of the Netherlands and all brotherly and friendly countries to resume their diplomatic activity in Sanaa to be able to see what is going on the ground and to avoid falling into the trap of the misleading media of the Saudi-led coalition countries.

He reiterated the readiness of the Salvation Government to achieve a just and comprehensive peace, stressing at the same time the right of Yemen to self-defense.

For his part, the Netherlands ambassador affirmed his country’s commitment to providing all aspects of support to Yemen and contributing to achieving the desired peace.
