Air raid sirens sound in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv

KYIV, March 01 (YPA) – Air raid sirens sounded in the Ukrainian capital after threats by the Russian Defense Ministry to launch strikes with high-precision weapons on the centers of media attacks against Russia.

The Russian defense ministry had announced its intention to strike with high-precision weapons the technological facilities of the Ukrainian security in order to intercept media attacks against Russia.

A statement published by the ministry today stated that since the start of the special military operation, media attacks on Russian state institutions have increased exponentially, among them are death threats sent by phone to Russian citizens and phone calls about the bombing of schools, kindergartens, train stations and other public facilities.

The statement added that the media attacks are carried out by the 72nd Main Center for Psychological Operations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in cooperation with the cyber operations teams of the Ukrainian Security Service.
