Islah sells military sites in Taiz for 20 million Saudi riyals

TAIZ, Feb. 27 (YPA) – The so-called “Taiz Axis command” affiliated with Islah Party on Sunday concluded a deal to hand over several military sites under its control to the UAE-funded forces led by “Tariq Afash” in exchange for large sums of money.

Local sources stated that a secret meeting was held at a hotel in the Taiz city center, under Emirati-Saudi directives, and included a military delegation from the Tariq Afash forces and leaders from the “Taiz Axis” to negotiate the handover of military sites in Jabal Al-Arous, the heights of Jabal Saber, Al-Qahira Citadel, and strategic hills and locations in the areas of Tha’abat and Al-Jahmaliyah in Sala district and the old city to the “Afash” forces, in exchange for 20 million Saudi riyals demanded by the Axis leadership.

The sources indicated that the forces of “Tariq Afash” are in the process of receiving the Taiz file from Islah.

Military vehicles belonging to the so-called “Amaliqa Brigades” funded by the UAE have been roaming some of the city’s streets that are controlled by Islah militants during the past few days, according to the sources.

The UAE is heading to impose a new equation in the western districts of Taiz province, which overlooks the western coast, and to wrest it from the Islah party, after creating several camps in those districts.

The UAE preempted its field military movements by carrying out many secret missions for the assassination cells led by “Ammar Afash,” the brother of “Tariq,” in liquidating its political opponents in the influential Islah party in those areas.
