Kremlin: Putin ready to send Russian delegation to Minsk for negotiations with Ukrainians

SANAA, Feb. 26 (YPA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to send a Russian delegation to Minsk for negotiations with the Ukrainian delegation, the Kremlin has announced.

According to the Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, Ukrainian Volodymyr Zelensky has declared his readiness to discuss Ukraine’s neutral situation.

At first, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the purpose of the operation was to help the military in the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics, including through disarmament from Ukraine. This is, in fact, an integral part of the neutral situation, Dmitry Peskov said.

According to Dmitry Peskov, the Russian delegation will include representatives of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kremlin administration.

He noted that Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko assured his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that he would be ready to create all the conditions for the safety of the negotiating delegation from the Russian and Ukrainian sides.

Earlier on Friday, Peskov announced that the Kremlin had heard Vladimir Zelensky’s remarks about his willingness to negotiate Ukraine’s neutrality.
