Iran’s President arrives in Qatar on his first visit to Gulf country

DOHA, Feb. 21 (YPA) – The Iranian President, Ibrahim Raisi, arrived on Monday in the Qatari capital, Doha, on the first visit to a Gulf country.

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received Raisi and held talks with him at Doha Airport, According to Al-Jazeera tv channel.

Iranian President came extended an invitation to Qatar to attend the Global Energy Exporters Summit.

Iranian news agency reported that Raisi’s two-day visit came at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, adding that two delegations from the two countries would sign several agreements and memoranda of understanding on the first day of the visit.
