SHABWA, Feb. 20 (YPA) – A former governor of Shabwa, Mohammed Saleh bin Adio, accused on Sunday the UAE of being behind the assassination of his older brother, Saeed bin Adio in the province.
Bin-Adio, loyal to Saudi-backed Islah Party, affirmed that the killing of his brother, Saeed bin Adio, came within the framework of a response to his political stances and not the “issue of revenge that media outlets talked about.
“The governor bin Adyo published an obituary message on his “Facebook” Page, in which he talked about the killing of his brother as a tax for his stances (when he was the governor of Shabwa), noting that he refused to pass what he called “the sinful catastrophic destructive plans.
He said that the assassination of his brother was aimed at undermining his resolve, stances and principles towards the province.
On Saturday, gunmen had opened fire towards “Saeed Saleh bin Adio” while he was leaving his house in the Khobar Laqmush area of the Habban district, killing him and wounding three others.
