New dust wave expected to sweep Yemen

SANAA, Feb. 19 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected on Saturday a new dust wave would sweep several Yemeni province.

The center affirmed, in weather bulletin, the cold weather might target the mountainous heights in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Bayda, Shabwa, Marib and Jawf.

It pointed out that the winds to be moderate and active working to raise dust or dust during the day.

The atmosphere in the coastal areas would be clear to partly cloudy in general, and the winds to be moderate, with speeds on the south of the western coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden, with a maximum speed of 27 knots.

Meanwhile, the weather in the Socotra archipelago might be partly cloudy, and the winds would be northeasterly moderate to active, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20 knots.

The center warned citizens, especially the elderly, children and those suffering from chest diseases, to take the necessary precautions to prevent cold weather.
