SANAA, Feb. 18 (YPA) – Saudi-led coalition has arrested prominent military commanders in the so-called Hadi government, well- informed sources said on Thursday.
According to the sources, the leadership of the coalition forces issued directives to arrest the head of the central axis in Hadi forces and Islah party, Amin al-Akimi and staff war officer of axis , Ali Yahya al-Akimi along with several military commanders.
Al-Akimi received an invitation a few days ago from coalition forces to come to Saudi Arabia, but he was arrested as soon as he arrived at the border fence, the sources explained said,
The arrest came following the commanders’ refusal to leave Jawf border and go to fight inside the Saudi border in Najran and Jizan regions.
The sources noted that Hadi’s governor of Jawf province had been transferred from a prison in Najran to Riyadh after being detained for a week.
The Government of Hadi is keeping silent on the arrests of its leadership by Saudi- Emirati coalition forces, while Hadi and Islah party disavowed all opposition and anti-coalition forces.
