Dozens of workers in Ataq Central Market carry out general strike

SHABWA, Feb. 17 (YPA) – Dozens of workers in Central Market in Ataq city carried out on Thursday a comprehensive strike against the violations taken by local authorities in Shabwa province.

Media sources affirmed that the workers organized a protest rally after an attempt to expel them from the market to one of the commercial markets belonging to an investor close to the governor.

The sources explained that the transfer process would expose the workers to a large loss in the event of the implementation of the transfer decision, in addition to the high financial fees imposed by the investor in the new market, considering the measures to be negatively affected the sale of goods to citizens.
