SANAA, Feb. 17 (YPA) – Member of the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi, inaugurated on Thursday in the capital Sanaa the printing of late Yemeni poet Abdallah al-Bardawni’s poetic works.
Al-Houthi affirmed the greatness of the poetic and creative experience of the late great poet al-Baradouni, especially in his revolutionary predictions and his alignment with the Yemeni people against the invaders.
This came in the press conference, which was organized by the General Book Authority today, on the occasion of the inauguration of the printing of Al-Bardawni’s works, including his last two volumes “A Son of a Young Man We Qarna” and “Love on the Harbors of the Moon.”
Al-Houthi considered the printing of Al-Bardawni’s last two collections a beginning of printing all his poetic works in the context of Interest in culture and literature.
He said, “The state pays great attention to Al-Bardawni’s heritage and literary achievement, based on its interest in Yemen’s culture and literature,” referring to the courageous stances the late poet had in slamming the rulers during his reign and criticizing Yemen’s enemies abroad.
Al-Houthi pointed out that the aggression’s targeting of Al-Bardawni’s shrine in Khuzayma cemetery demonstrated a deep-seated hatred against Yemen, literature and culture.
Meanwhile, Minister of Culture, Abdullah al-Kibsi, congratulated the Yemeni cultural scene for the inauguration of the printing of the last what written by the late great poet Al-Bardawni’s, in the context of the inauguration of the printing of all Al-Bardawni’s productions with the products of the late great poet Hassan al-Sharafi.
