SHABWAH, Feb. 12 (YPA) – The Nisab tribes in Shabwah province on Saturday gathered together on Saturday to discuss the response to the execution of one of its sons by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia in Abyan, southern Yemen.
The local council in the district of Nisab called on tribesmen to respond to the killing of Nayef al-Handi, who was accused of running over livestock trader last week in Lawdar, and executing al-Handi without trail.
The council confirmed that al-Handi was tortured by the “STC” militia, which carried out his execution on Friday in the city of Zinjibar, the capital of Abyan, without undergoing any legal proceedings or issuing a judicial ruling against him.
It called for the formation of a committee to follow up on the case of the killing of al-Handi, a member of Nisab tribesmen, and step up of escalation against the barbaric operation by the UAE-backed militia.
The Nisab tribes in Shabwah refused to receive the body of their son, who had been executed without trail.
