Al-Qaeda organization sends military reinforcements to Marib

MARIB, Feb. 06 (YPA) – Al-Qaeda terrorist organization sent military reinforcements to participate in supporting its elements fighting alongside with the Saudi-led coalition in the city of Marib.

Local sources in Marib said al-Qaeda sent a large number of its militants from the provinces of Abyan and Hadramout towards the city.

The sources indicated that these reinforcements arrived in mountainous areas east of the city, to retake the “Umm Rubeish” camp in Marin, but they failed.

After failure, al-Qaeda elements are planning to launch a major attack from the east of Marib on the positions of Sanaa forces in the open desert areas east of the districts of Jouba and Harib, south of the province.
