SANAA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, received on Monday the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Sayyid Badr Albusaidi, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two officials talked about the distinguished relations and the areas of bilateral cooperation in a way serves the two brotherly countries.
President al-Assad referred to the mutual understanding and convergent vision that the two countries have regarding these issues, noting the approach and balanced role of the Sultanate of Oman, its policies and stances towards Syria.
The meeting also dealt with the latest developments on the Arab and regional arenas and issues of common concern.
In turn, Albusaidi conveyed to President al-Assad the greetings of Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, and his affirmation and keenness on Oman’s firm stances toward Syria.
“Syria is a cornerstone in the Arab world, and its strong and courageous policies and stances make reliance on it in facing the challenges,” Albusaidi added.
