Ukrainian soldier kills, injures 10 of his colleagues
UKRAINE, Jan. 27 (YPA) – A member of the Ukrainian army killed five of his colleagues in a shooting incident that occurred at dawn Thursday in the city of Dnipro in the east of the country.
According to local media, at around 4:00 a.m., a 20-year-old soldier fired from an automatic machine gun inside the guard room, where 22 people were.
As a result, four people were killed at the scene and another succumbed to his wounds at a later time, and five others were injured as a result of the attack, while the shooter managed to cross the fence and disappear.
Later in the day, the Ukrainian authorities announced the arrest of the shooter, a member of the National Guard, Artyom Ryabchuk, in the outskirts of the city of Dnipro.
The motives of the shooter are still unknown.
